Humans First, Then Critters

Think about it folks...

Family Love
Living things only, thank you very much
Are you missing something? Human life is always first, then the family pets. No matter how important or how cherished other things may be, they can be replaced.

If you had everything important scanned to your computer, and had it properly backed up, those things are of little consequence.

Even if you back up your computer to an external hard drive, and it's kept at home, it too will be wiped out. Why not keep all your essential papers in either a safe deposit box, or in a fire proof safe? It's a cheap investment.

Firemen Save Family Pet
What I do is, scan everything of importance onto my computer, and have an offsite backup using http://www.mozy.com. It's only $4.95 per month, and I can backup any time I want to, or set it to backup according to my scheduled needs. There is another excellent service called Carbonite. It's $55 per year, paid annually, at http://www.carbonite.com. Both of these work for MAC and PC, so why not put your mind to rest.

Should you ever lose your home due to fire, tornado, hurricane, flood, or earthquake, just save your family and yourself first. If you can, save your beloved critters. Unfortunately, your aquarium fish and pet reptiles may be lost, but those, while are cherished, don't compare to you and your family.
