"Awakenings" is a Must See

If you have never seen this movie, I highly recommend you watch it.   This is a movie which is a remake of one I saw sometime ago, but while both versions are touching, heart wrenching, joyful and painful,  this is a movie well worth your time and tears.

AWAKENINGS (1990 version),  Based on the true story, medical researcher Dr. Malcolm Sayer (Robin Williams) attempts to treat a group of patients who've been semi-comatose in a Bronx hospital for 30 years. Sayer prescribes an experimental drug, and it works. Robert De Niro co-stars as a patient unconscious since adolescence who must come to terms with life as an adult.

Be sure to have your tissues ready, and be ready to share some inner emotions with the patient(s) cared for by Dr. Sayer.
