A Sailor's Tale - A Poem

SHIPS AT SEA
Ships at sea, whipping white sails,
Hushed seas, beckoning shores
Beseeching, calling, whispering wails
Promising adventure in store

See the seven seas and swim with sharks,
Sea shells, slow moving sea snails
Search out undersea parks
Swim with dolphins, dive for shells

Such smooth seas, incoming storms
Slipping, tossing easily shifting sailboats
Boasting sailing ships, tall sails now taken down
Some speeding steadily southward
